Forms
Contact and brief sections send mail through Contact Form 7. Create a form, assign it on the block, and make sure WordPress can deliver email.
Install the form plugin
Contact Form 7 is recommended. The setup wizard installs it together with the required plugins. You can also add it from Plugins → Add New.
If you will not collect messages, you can leave the plugin inactive. The contact layout still displays, and the form area stays empty until a form is assigned.
Create a form
- Go to Contact → Contact Forms.
- Open the form created by the demo import, or click Add New.
- On the Form tab, set the fields visitors fill in.
- On the Mail tab, set the address that receives the message.
- Save the form.
Assign it to a block
- Edit the page that contains the contact or brief section. The demo uses Norio Contact 1, Norio Contact 2, and Norio Brief 2.
- Select the form block inside that section.
- In the sidebar, choose the Contact Form 7 form.
- Update the page and send a test message on the front end.
Deliver the email
WordPress needs a working mail setup before messages leave the server. On many hosts the built-in mail function is blocked.
- Install an SMTP plugin from Plugins → Add New. WP Mail SMTP is a common choice. Search for “SMTP” if you prefer another one.
- Connect it to the mail service you use, such as your host’s SMTP or Google Workspace.
- Send the plugin’s test email, then submit the Norio form again.
